That's What She Said Project

When I was a speaker in October 2016 for That’s What She Said, it was fun! I felt privileged to get to tell my story on stage to an audience of women who could hear and relate to my story. I shared the stage with some really special women who discovered their significant stories. We processed, we rehearsed, we performed. And we did well.

Now, 2+ years later, I was offered the opportunity to revisit and reflect on that night of being on stage at the Virginia Theater in downtown Champaign. Meeting up with Kerry and Jenette was good. Even though we live in a relatively small urban community, we don’t cross paths regularly, so I was glad to reconnect in the studio.

Two pretty significant events came out of that October 2016 opportunity to share my core story.  One?  I really did publish a book titled the same as my talk that night.  “Which Old Woman Will You Be?” has sold well on Amazon. I was surprised (very pleasantly) last week to see that several complete strangers have left positive reviews. I hadn’t thought to look at that before.

The other is that I really did….in spite of my fairly adamant avowal that I WOULD NOT….get my tattoos. And I love them!  I have to admit that they come in rather handy on a regular basis to remind me to extend both truth and grace.

Such great results come from finding and sharing our stories. We need each other!

Listen and enjoy!
